EMPOWERING YOUTH AND PEOPLE LIVING WITH DISABILITIES ACROSS SOUTH AFRICA

The Kaizer Nkabinde Foundation is a registered non-profit public benefit organization dedicated to creating pathways to dignity, independence, and opportunity for disadvantaged youth and individuals living with disabilities in South Africa. Founded on lived experience and driven by a mission of inclusion, the Foundation offers practical, targeted interventions to address systemic inequalities.

About the Foundation The Foundation was established by Kaizer Eric Junior Nkabinde, a former Detective Warrant Officer in the South African Police Service. In May 2006, Kaizer was injured in a violent attack and sustained four gunshot wounds that resulted in permanent T10 paraplegia. After nineteen years in a wheelchair, Kaizer transformed personal adversity into a community vision. Inspired by the values of humility, respect, and service instilled by his late father, a former Provincial Commissioner, he created a platform to advocate for those left behind. The Foundation’s programmes are grounded in eight core principles that shape strategy and service: • Dignity • Independence • Advocacy • Education • Compassion • Accountability • Empowerment • Inclusivity
